Just hear the jets taking off from Leuchars now! Hope the weather is better in Edinburgh than here!

Naturally I cannot see them because of the weather but heard them over here - hope they turn round and go the other way at some point :-)

All Scimiters now joined with Ascot 850, now working Edinburgh. What a shame

Saw 3/4 F3s on their way home when I was at PGL in Dalguise on Wednesday evening in perfect light, can't believe how low and fast they are allowed to go over the centre . Even saw my home boy GR4s very frequently including a 617 marked one down in the weeds.

Well they made it through in a formation of VC10 and 2 F3`s,looked great with all the strobes going on the respective aircraft and in a nice formation considering the conditions (in and out the clouds as they passed the west of the city) Big shout for the crews tonight!

Well here's the info boys (strait from the end of the runaway )
ZE788 'HV' Tornado F3 ''Scimitar 21'' (Scimitar 21flt) HV & HO Dep 19:54 in 2 ship formation ZE164 'HO' Tornado F3 ''Scimitar 22'' (Scimitar 21flt) HV & HO Dep 19:54 in 2 ship formation ZE342 'HP' Tornado F3 ''Scimitar 23'' (Scimitar 23flt) HP & HN Dep 19:57 in 2 ship formation ZE200 'HN' Tornado F3 ''Scimitar 24'' (Scimitar 23flt) HP & HN Dep 19:57 in 2 ship formation (ZA147) (F) Vc-10K3 ''Ascot 857'' (OTT Edinburgh Tattoo with HV & HO formation) - Details on serial taken from SBS but usually accurate for these aircraft.
ZE342 & ZE200 failed to form up with Vc-10K3 ''Ascot 857'' (Original plan was 2 off each wing I belive) & returned at 20:57 with ZE788 & ZE164 returning after the flypast at 21:12 Airspare never departed but was getting reday on the ground at 19:50 as Scimitar 11
P.S. Great to meet 'tremblers111' tonight

I was in a similar situation but to a different location - had the Scanner on and heard the lot luckily enough looked out the front window and saw the VC-10 with 2 Tornado F.3s.

Don't know wether you were still there when they returned but did the VC-10 actually land back at Leuchars? Or did it return to Brize Norton?
