troops parade

i was wondering how many visit there local city when the troops get the freedom of the city and do a parade?

on the 1st of august im in leeds for the rifles ( aka the LI) (aka kings own yorkshire light infantry)
my wifes mum is comming up from oakham for me to take her to it so she can meet old friends etc etc, her hubby died in 2LI 19 year ago . it should be a good day backing our troops, lets just hope they dont start like they did in luton

Went to the one we had in Swansea a few weeks ago for the Queens Dragoon Guards.....Great day and there was nothing but support for them from everybody. Clap

It's great watching troops parade,not much like this happens in Doncaster!!,so it's a case of watching tv news,more should be shown,to make UK citizens more patriotic,and get behind our Armed Forces..what i don't like is,in the past when Armed Forces have paraded,hecklers have been in the crowds,shouting insults at our brave,brave men and women,why on earth isn't anything done about these ******* morons,low-life,scumbag, layabout scroungers,all they literally get is a slap on the wrist and don't do it again!!!,and as for civil liberties and human rights,not forgetting political correctness..stick it where the sun doesn't shine. Mad

it was a good day in leeds, even the rain did not stop people tuning out, there was quite a high police presence but i think you would expect that after luton. all in all it was a great day, i met some good people and the mother in law was in her hay day, there was more blokes comming to say hello to her than owt else Laugh
