Subject: ANOTHER new MC-130P? 2009-07-29, 14:31 |

Up on Live Logs at the moment is RCH1009, which has been bimbling around the country all evening. About the time he was over Mildenhall, Shadow 61 called up. Seemed a bit unfamiliar with local procedures and frequencys, which I thought a bit odd for a local. Landed for a while, and RCH1009 disappeared from Logs. Just launched again and RCH1009 is back up! The aircraft in question is 65-0991, another 9SOS aircraft. What do we think, new aircraft or just extreme coincidence? Ben

Hard to say, it arrived a week or two back as Rch1009 along with 2 others & stayed for a few days. When all three of the 9th SOS were in they went to the SOG Ramp which I found a bit odd & in the past few days 50991 has been noted in one of the hangars at the Hall. Possible it is a new aircraft but maybe theres the possibility its just out on a test flight??? Got it on my SBS buzzing around at 10,000ft EDIT: Read your post again & its not a conicidence, it'll be a new based aircraft & it just wont have changed its box to display Sadow 61 on SBS/Live Logs, probably left over from when he arrived. Scrub the above, lol, must learn to to stuff in

Hi, MC-130P 69-5828 departed on 29-07-09 as RCH1014, so presume 65-0991 has replaced it! Ray
