I take it kinloss would be the best place to catch all the expected traffic or are the jets just likely to fly in from their respective bases?

Flaps LFA14t is the entire north west of Scotland or Moon Country as some people call it due to the vastness and lack of habitants, hence why it is well used by the Lossiemouth Crews. Daffy Even in LFA14t they are only permitted to operate at 100ft,yes they do sometimes appear in the Fort William area heading out towards Glenfinnan and north and south of Loch Linnhe, but I dont think you appreciate how large LFA14T is nevermind LFA14. You may get lucky in Glen Coe as its a fairly narrow used valley but other than that its like finding a needle in a haystack, this aint no MACH LOOP!

Hi Andy, Friday saw a single Harrier,Puma low + 2 Falcons at med level all heading east am, a second Sea king breakdown truck arrived from prestwick with mechanics to repair the broken machine and they both left for home about 10.45am Monday saw 2 Harriers very low + fast come up Loch Linnhe and turn sharp into Locheil at 09.45. Tuesday saw a blank. Wednesday i spent a very pleasant day at a busy RAF Kinloss i could also see the lossie traffic in the distance through the binoculars, lots of tornados returning from sorties in the afternoon. Today Thursday saw 2 Typhoons come out from Locheil and head down Loch Linnhe towards Oban at 09.35. 2 Tornado GR4 come out from Glen Nevis and head down Loch Linnhe towards Oban at 16.00. Iain.
