I'm keen on going, should be there early...night shifts have their uses. Where abouts is best for pics, I only have a 300mm lens and am rather new to aircraft photography

many thanks

You can get a taxiing shot? Whatever runway they're on. I'm thinking of going up, I'm not sure yet.

I'd be there by 07:30 if you want to see them all depart.

For Runway 27, point number 1 and you will get them taxiing out.

Yeah, just park on the edges of the layby and you'll be okay, if not aslong as you move if an truck approaches to get in (not very often anymore) then you'll be okay.

Here is a few pictures of the 1st departure of a Dragon from Fairford this morning.
Not great but I'm getting better!
If this should be in "Recent Pictures" mods can you please move it

It was great for me this morning, can't believe how quick they get up. Also thanks to the guys that were there, was very pleasent, no pushing, shoving, not the Fairford I remember from last week Big Grin

Cheers

Matty, there is no problem leaving the pictures in this section. They are impressive on take off arent they? I wasnt able to make it this morning, but im pretty sure the regulars will of been there: MikeB, SteveB, Lee hathaway, possibly Dragon51 (Andy) and I know Jim (JG71) and Roy were there. So a good turnout Laughing Nice shots by the way, especially the first one Cheers

As an update, 2 have left, the third is believed to be tech Smile
