Isn't it a mock-up?

Had a really nice circular painting of fan blades in the air intake... Huh

Believe it was a mockup however, it was a real Mantis in the Corporate Area.

The Global Hawk on static was a mock up. There were no brake packs or hydraulic lines on the main undercarriege and there was no turbine visible down the exhaust. The serial belongs to a Global Hawk wich is operated by the test Sqn in the States.

Probably the same mock up that was there in 2007 (In USAF markings)?

I did think it was a mock up..... it looked pretty smart in Nato markings though. I suppose that will be next on the procurement list in Brussels! We nearly had a blew with Ramp Op's on the Friday night as a simulator was going in opposite and left a nice trail of mud and grass where the Global Hawk was going!! Laughing

Cheers,

@ Nickyp: your picture reminds me of the Aliens films, like the black and white coldness of it, makes it more scarey.

Could'nt belive it when at Farnborough airshow a few years ago i saw the UAV at the Northrop Grumman stand and as i was taking a picture of it a guy came up and gave me an offical leaflet with all the specs, dimensions, max speed and height etc, like it was a used car for sale! Maybe i looked like i wanted to buy one? I know its Farnborough but to hand out info on a UAV spyplane?

So much for security...
