front page of my local paper yesterday speaks of a possible chance of 43sqd standing up once again when the typhoon arrives, this was seemingly some RAF top dog that was saying this, another thing he did say was the typhoon wont be at leuchars until october 2010 not 09 like i was wishing for,he spoke of having to train up 250 personel and most of these will be from 43sqd,but the way things are going at leuchars just now this could change, roll on the typhoon!

As far as i was led to believe it was 2010 for 6sqn Typhoons for Leuchars, and after that is anybodies guess, but i am assuming it will be 2011 for 43sqn then 111sqn in 2012,even at that i aint so sure, you never know with this government Dougie strength and honour

Sadly, not as many as required. Current plans will result in 5 operational Typhoon squadrons. These few aircraft will have to achieve 100% servicibility to satisfy the dual role training, 3 sector QRA and Afghanistan. Never mind the burn out of the aircrew struggling to maintain currency and operational commitments.
