typhoon 44 and spit 60 some sort of rehearsal this afternoon at 16.15 appx. Looked good from where i was. any ideas what its for?

It was a practice for Fairford.Spitfire PS915, Typhoon coded DD.

Just an interesting fact that may or not be known The Spitfire PS 915

was rebuilt and renovated by apprentices at BAE Systems at Salmesbury and Warton. On

of its test flights the Test Pilot who shall remain annonymous over revved the engine and the

propeller struck the ground bending the blades, the ironical thing is that the replacement prop

was manufactured in Germany I think it may have been Hamburg, of course it may well have

been replaced.
