Aircraft Recognition book wanted - any ideas?

All, I'm after an Aircraft Recognition book for a family member, for Christmas.

Ideally I wanted something along the lines of the old "Observers book of...."

All I can find is a similar tome by Janes but only dated 2007. Janes book also has poor reviews of late.

Anyone know of any further publishers?

I had a quick look on Amazon and there are loads on there.

But the majority are the current and previous versions / editions of Janes. Early issues of this gets good reviews, later versions suffer, so I'd ruled that one out.
