Apparently 4 of these have just landed at RAF Aldergrove! Anyone have any ideas why they are in? We rarely get any jets in so it sounds very exciting! Pity I'm 2 hours away from the base.

4 Noggie F-16s sitting on the mil ramp behind the tower engine covers on at 13.55 so maybe good for a night stop will call in later to see if they are still about.

I wondered that but there was no other mil air activity so I very much doubt it. I think a Tiger meet would involve alot more aircraft and squadrons.

Hi all, new to this forum. Came across it searching google with '4 f-16s aldergrove'.
Anyway, great site.
I saw the 4 f-16s leaving around 11am on Monday. Seems all four took off in formation, though the last one was a little behind as they flew over my house, I livei n the Folly, Antrim.
But he quickly caught up.
Nice to see, as I was buttering my toast!
Thought I was seeing things.

Welcome Jim, tis plenty of good info on this forum. F-16s looked well the other morning. We were down by the fence but they were a bit high for decent photos.

Yea they certainly looked well. Always nice to see f-16s. Probably my favourite fighter jet.
Were they just here for a visit? I thought it were a bit strange for four f-16s to visit Aldergrove considering there are notRAF jets there.

Apparently some cultural visit to meet their 'tiger' counterparts. 230sqn is one of the tiger squadrons i think.
