Has there been much activity today? Was thinking of going down tommorrow, I see the base only re opened this morning but closes again on friday. Will they 'surge' tommorrow and thursday or will it be a quiet one? Any help appreciated!

Mike

Sorry about this late reply, but if you did make a journey down to RAF Cottesmore there was some but not much activity on the Tuesday but Wendnesday - Thursday there was not really anything going on. Normaly Cottesmore is quite through out the summer (July-August)

Hopefuly normal flying will start tacking place once again after August. Also as the nights get shorter night flying will start taking place!

Thanks, Cottesmore09

Today was a busy day at Cottesmore including 2x F-15's flying around so a great treat too. Looks set to continue through the next couple of days so if you plan to make a trip it maybe worth it this week! Smile

Wind played havoc Today with limited flying from 12:30

Jedi 1-5 got airborne for a 4 ship fly past over Oakham followed by numerous overshoots on return.
Raf Air 7023-7025 went over seas some where to Manchester control 118 something from Cott.

May well have been more late moves but i left for Northolt.

Not much activity today but a KC135 has just done a overshoot at Cottesmore (15:30) which was great too see. It seems to be taking part in a series of overshoots as it returns.
