You heard it right.
Ryanair wants to ask Boeing if it is feasable for passengers to be squat on stools to provide an extra 50% more passengers on some flights.
If this is a 'yay' from Boeing they plan to go to the Irish Aviation Authority to get it sorted.

Seems a bit extreme when it comes to moderate turbulance etc.
However i did hear some time ago than Japan Airlines and All Nippon used to (do they still?) have people standing on their B747 internal flights only.... ramming in as many pax as possible...
