Took a slight detour to this little Grass Airfield , very nice little museum with the most friendly people going , was allowed to wander all around the hangars and they even opened up their C-47 for photo's. Heres my efforts.
2 C-47's , C-45H and a Hellcat Fibreglass Replica on the pole

T-6 Texan ( as yet unidentified ) with RCAF 22103 / N8092 C-119G Flying Boxcar ( in background )

44-83546 / N3703G B-17G Flying Fortress " Memphis Bell " ( unfortunately hangared )
330652 / N345AB C-47 Skytrain ( this aircraft was apparently based at Cottesmore between Feb 1944 - May 1945 with the 316th Troop Carrier Group )

Interesting, that isn't the original Memphis Belle but the airworthy bird that played her in the movie.
It had its chin turret.etc removed and made to look like an F for the movie.
Shame really as there aren't many G's about!

These are not good scans because the negs aren't in great shape but if that was one of the aircraft used in the film, it must be one of these. These were taken at Duxford during filming shortly before the French aircraft crashed at Binbrook. As I said, forgive the quality but a rare event.
