Have a try of this . its free and worth a try . been useing this for years . allways updates and well worth keeping on your pc. just download the helicon filter should be the 1st one at the top of the downloads list. you get the full version for 30days . then it goes to a basic mode but this is more than plenty for what you will need . http://www.heliconsoft.com/filter_downloads.html

Where are you getting your RAW files from? Did your camera not come with software? I use canon DPP and its without a doubt the best raw converter for canons around

Another vote for DPP if you have a Canon. For basic RAW, editing, trimming and JPEG conversion its great and free. The only thing it lacks is the ability to level / tilt images. As an aside Canon released version 3.5.1.0 last week that improves it again (free download from the Canon site)

Another great freebie is 'Rawshooter Essentials'. Just google it and you can download from a number of sites. Been using it for a couple of months and it's easy whilst at the same time being comprehensive.
Good luck - RAW is the way ahead, wouldn't use anything else.
