If you want to photograph static displays then go ahead and buy one.

However, I'm sure that if you added another £100 to what you are spending, I'm sure that you could find a modest Canon 350D with a 65-300mm lens kit from a reputable seller on Ebay or even London Camera Exchange.

Agreed, if you want to get flying shots, then I dont think that camera will cut it. The autofocus speed just cant cope with fast moving subjects. If you managed to fire a burst, you may get 1 decent shot, but as far as Im aware, these all in one cameras dont have particulary fast burst speed.
Look on ebay. You will get a great SLR kit for not a whole lot more than that camera will cost you. Be it canon or Nikon, it will be better than the fuji for this purpose.
