Are we being ripped off with the price of Barbie Q gas.
just exchanged a 15 lt and 7 lt bottles and was charged £48.

What prices do you pay.
Seems another stealth tax for enjoyment .

Dont go to B&Q or Focus or any DIY place that sells the green gas bottles

I go to a local gas bottle supplier and its £15 for BBQ gas!

Best

Vulcan558 is that your first gas bottle? I only ask as I recently bought one and had to pay the same price due to the fact I didn't have an empty to exchange, It's a "contract" charge. Apparantly when I take this one back empty I only have to pay £23 for the larger size (price quoted from Morrisons supermarket) as has been mentioned a local gas distributor (calor or such like) will be cheaper.

My advice is dont buy the stuff! Use a 13kg, 6kg or 3.9kg Propane cylinder (Red Cylinder) its the same stuff!! All you need to do is change your regulator. BBQ gas & Patio gas are just trade names. Its all propane in the end! Your paying more for the fancy green cylinder and the name!

I used to work for Calor years ago and remeber when they brought it in, what a rip off.
