The navy Lynx was routing to Tower bridge and back as Inferno 05, it was performing for a party onboard HMS Belfast, who were hosting Mr Henry Allingham for his birthday.
Happy birthday Mr Allingham. Clap

Apollogies for no explainaition, Henry Allingham is a survivor from the trenches in the first world war, i think it was his 113 birthday today, he served in all the services i think, apaart from the RAF, because it was the Royal flying corps then Big Grin

Its me who has to say a very big sorry for my stupidity on not knowing who he is.....after realising I felt a real {censored} for presuming it was a rich kids party.....sorry Henry for not knowing and for confusing a survivor of both wars with some spoilt child.....anyway hopefully he has had a good day, after I had been thinking about him it really is difficult to imagine how the world has changed in 113yrs, this is a light hearted comment but just imagine his log`s !!!!
all the best Henry and all,Gary

re the A109 reports on the Northolt group NH-FAB have
ZE412 in the static yesterday , arrived 0904 and departed 1820
c/s 1IJ14

Mr Allingham is the worlds second oldest living person
and the papers tell us he is the last survior of the Battle of Jutland
and was in the Royal Naval Air Service before it became the RAF
