Looked fantastic with the 4 x Rafale and 4 x F15 (missing man formation)! Moving stuff! I wonder if the great PM knew which his own aircraft were?

Well the SKY news reporter didn't...."RAF fighter flies into the heavens as a tribute to the missing airmen",(or similar).

I don't think they took part in the second flypast at the British ceremony (BBMF only) but I noted the birds returning a good few hours after the flypast.

Were they noted anywhere else?

Also at the same time as they recovered, there was alot of noise coming from CBY; this was constant for 7-8 minutes and did not sound like normal ops or touch n go's (otherwise I wouldn't of mentioned it). If I hazard a guess it sounded like a full display.

Was there an event at CBY today?

I saw the four Typhoons coming back later on passing over RAF Syerston area heading off towards Newark and beyond
