Free & some say far better alternative to Microsoft Office

Many people here have purchased a computer 'off the shelf' ie from Curry's, Comet, Dixon's, PC World and even Woolies and Asda.

However the software that is included is somewhat limited. Many people are familiar with Microsoft Office, which currently retails at nearly £300 for the full Professional Version of 2007.

However Sun Mircosystems have developed a free Office application that utilises a spreadsheet, Word Processor and database along with a few other software. And the best thing is they are full compatible with the Microsoft Office file extensions. So you can view .Doc and .XLS files.

So for those who wish to start logging serials, callsigns and frequencies will be able to do so for the cost of a few minutes downloading of this fantastic and awarding winning application.

Thus you can also copy and paste into the wysiwyg format to post in the topics.
