Dear Readers, The Virtual Royal Air Force is a fun, professional and realistic organisation build around the real world operations carried out using teamwork by the RAF. Our pilots are training to the highest level of optimum performance gaining superb opportunities to learn and experience a wide range of skills such as combat communications.
Our realistic operations offer you the change to join one of the world's finest aerobatic display teams, The Red Arrows and show your skills off at our public air shows. An opportunity to be taught the skills needed for dynamic and flexible fast jet, Rotary and multi-engined aircraft using a realistic rank structure. Pilots have to opportunity to climb the classifications and earn respect from officers by flying and joining in on various events. Using correct military procedures, pilots are able to fly from airbase to airbase or even air-to-air re-fueling using the aircraft within their squadron. Our website has various documentation supplying you with all the information required, such as military phraseology and information on Tactical Air Navigation (TACAN).
If you think you are prepared and able to join and support our Air Force then visit our professional and up-to date website and forum, Located at: http://www.virtualraf.co.uk/ I the mean time we thank you for reading this and look foward to your on going support, Virtual Royal Air Force RAF High Wycombe

Well what happenes is, u join and become and Officer Cadet Then u have a quiz to pass which will give you the rank of pilot officer Then you go through flight training, the manual for flight training will be published ASAP once thats all ok and done you have to opportunity to become a flying offficer and fly for an opperational squadron of your choice. or go on to the red arrows or such like

Basically this Virtual Royal Air Force for FS is a waste of time and yours is basically like the website below http://www.rafvirtual.com/ These Virtual RAF things never work, best off just using Multiplayer and having fun on that.

Clocked up nearly 500 hours when active with RafV..and enjoyed every minute of it.As for flying in close formation ,take a look on most of the virtual airforce's websites and in their galleries there's some great shots...But like everything else some enjoy this sort of thing and some don't. cheers :)

Formation on Vatsim use FSinn with P2P set and then obv your actually flying skills.
As for actually flying formation on vatsim you shouldn't be at this point:
B. The following on-line events and/or activities are deemed to be within the scope of VATSIM Special Operations (VSO) and therefore under the exclusive jurisdiction of VP-Special Operations
1. VA registration and VA operations. 2. Simulated online military / Para-military activities such as; Peacetime military exercises, range practice, military transport operations, aircraft escort / intercept operations, any other non-hostile event or activity implied or expressed as military / Para-military in nature. 3. Online aerial refueling. 4. Formation flying expressly for the purpose of simulating any military/Para-military activity permitted under ยง1.06 B. 5. Search & rescue, fire-fighting and law enforcement operations. 6. The use or acquisition of airspace for military, or paramilitary, related events or activities. The term acquisition refers to the research and development of letters of agreement with local, divisional and regional ATC administrators for the explicit purpose of establishing SPECIAL USE AIRSPACE and AIRSPACE DESIGNATED FOR SPECIAL USE to include supersonic flight operations.

Hello Guys, I have spoken to Craig about the VATSIM side of the airline and we are still working on certain areas before we can fly on VATSIM. In relation to what is currently happening, once you have been successfully accepted you will be given the rank 'Officer Cadet', on the Pilot's Profile there is an options to take the Officer cadet to Pilot Officer Exam', this is checked daily for results and if you can successfully answer 73% which is 12/15 you are promoted yet if you fail you can only retake the test again. We are in the process of creating a real training academy, many of our instructors are staff cadets or senior cadets with in the Air Training Corps which allows us to have an advantage as our instructors are eagily minded about the RAF and it's operations. If you have any questions that you would like me to answer or have any queries then please do not hesitate to PM me on the forums or email me on jack.plumb@virtualraf.co.uk.

We currently don't have a TeamSpeak server and means of contact is over our forums. All the higher ranked officers are contactable via there. You can contact the Air Chf Mshl via mark.henley@virtualraf.co.uk or myself via jack.plumb@virtualraf.co.uk. Cheers, Jack
