Points tally is something that Forumotion have added - we don't use it.
As for a jokes / off-topic thread - Staff keep this constantly under review. Problem is if people can't follow the rules at the minute ie no civilian posting, photosize, courtesy etc etc.... what chance do we stand in a thread that isn't tightly controlled.
Some people would undoubtedly find some "jokes" offensive. Sorry.
