The Alphasim one is for FS9 only, but you can import it into FSX witha bit of care provided you are willing to play with gauges to make the cockpit populated. There's also a glitch with the 'burners in FSX whereby they stay on and relight at random intervals - I think a while ago someone narrowed it down to a VC throttle gauge which apparently causes it. The loadout selection does not work in FSX either. However, IMHO it does fly better in FSX than it did in FS9...

Okay thanks so Alphasim is the best one then?
The other one has three aircraft every time you take of so I think i'll get the Alphasim one, do let me know though if you think otherwise.
Thanks for all your help as always

I'm not a great fan of AFS and have not flown their Tiffie. The formation is only an option in the full release, you can fly alone. I think it was also included in a free demo release which would have had advertising blocks by the refuelling probe. IIRC the flaps commands made them change formation? The AFS package is written for FSX so you will obviously be able to get fully populated VC etc whereas the AS one will not, unless you're a good programmer! There was talk and pictures of an FSX native Tiffie from Alphasim but as their official forums have now closed, I've no idea what is planned apart from what appears on their main site.

What do you mean by playing with the gauges, would I have to change a few file names or something?

That's the problem, I don't know! Certain people are very good at adapting and upgrading panels such as Dave Hazelgrove (find him on UKMIL and other such places) as you need to reprogram the panel.cfg file with gauges that will work and show in FSX. I have to admit normally flying using external views or by getting flight data from the 'shift+z' option rather than watching the HUD and gauges so a cockpit missing a few of its animated clickable switches and MFDs etc doesn't matter that much to me. The bitmaps that are nothing more than just pictures and serve no purpose should still display OK.

If you are specifically looking for a payware aircraft, then i apologise for this post at it will be useless to you all. I use a freeware Typhoon. Its the DBS Typhoon, i got it on flightsim.com. It was designed for FS2002 but it works really well on FSX in my opinion. Maybe worth a try if you havnt already used it. Afterall it wont cost you anything. If you go on this link http://www.flightsim.com/file.php?cm=SEARCH and search for typhn_11.zip in the file name field, you will find it. All the Best James
