Hello all.Made a last minute trip up to Cambridge today as there was "SWEET FA" doing down here and i'm glad i did.Little whisper the C 130 testbed may make one of its last flights and any other C 130 movements sort of made my mind up to go.Well he was running when we got there, taxied to the engine running pan. Then taxied to the runway for take off, then taxied back with a problem ,but no worries. Two hours later he came back out and departed with no worries. Here are a few shots, mostly of the testbed but i think thats it for me as far as this "jet" goes.

Second bite of the cherry.

There you go,i've been told it should go up one more time than thats it.If thats wrong intel then my bad.Cheers.

I see it has the A400 IFR probe too so i guess it will be hooking up to a VC10 very soon?

Yes it is.

Is this Herc going to the scrap man then soon, not preserved or doing any other work?

I was looking at that. I wonder if it is an air data probe mounted on the IFR probe installation for measuring in flight data?

Love those head on evening shots Paul - I regret I never got to see this close up under power

Just got to wait a few centuries for the A400M
