As well as the aircraft types illustrated there were also appearances by RAF Hawks and Harriers - and nearby a couple of pairs of F-15's which made a superb racket in the fells
... and this one also on service duty (apologies for poor quality image but don't think these perform very often in The Lakes)

Pretty similar to what my only low level day has been like, except you got fast jets We had the Cobham Falcon, but he chickened out and went high rather than go through a massive snowstorm. Wuss.

Tucano ZF291 was 1 of 5 on the ground at Carlisle yesterday afternoon 4 of which left between 2.45-3.30pm & the 5th was still there at 4.15 when i left , the crews were coming to the end of part of the fast jet course & had to visit an airfield away from base , the others were 137 ,292 ,348 & 379 . Stewart .

Thanks for the comments chaps - wish I could have managed some shots of the Lakenheath Eagles, but it was good to have seen and heard them in somewhat different surroundings to the Forest entrance !
