Photo Of The Month Competiton
Here is a re-cap of the rules for the second Photo Of The Month competition.
The rules are simple –
1. One entry per user
2a. Photograph must be taken during the month in question, however please note the following rule 2b.
2b. Since December is usually a quiet month and many may not have been able to get out this month, for this competition only, the photograph can have been taken at any time, but should have some relation to a 'festive theme', such as snow, or Santa on finals etc.
3. Photo must be taken by the user themselves (or another family user who is unable to post their own, children for example, but please state on your entry if this is the case)
4. The picture can be anything you like as long as there is some military aviation connection.
5. The winner will be voted for by the Moderating team. Moderators will not be exempt from the competition, but cannot vote for their own entry.
6. To enter simply pick your best shot of the month and post the image onto this thread, together with information regarding the a/c pictured, location and date etc
7. Images can be 'photo-shopped' to some extent - cropping, sharpening, brightness tweaks, colour saturation alterations are all fine. The photo must retain it's initial subject however. Do not cut and paste aircraft from other photographs you have into your entry to make it look more interesting. If in doubt, please PM me or one of the other mods.
8. All images must be posted in line with the usual FC posting rules (Rules Clicky)
9. Competitions will usually be set up around the middle of the month and will remain open until midnight on the first day of the following month - so you will have 24 hours into the next month to post. Hopefully this will allow anyone with a prize shot taken late on the last day of the month to enter.
10. The winner will usually be posted within 72 hours of the competition closing
11. Rules may be subject to change, and these will be posted on this thread.
12. The decision of the Moderating team is final, but let's keep this nice and friendly and see some cracking shots
For the winner this month –
The coveted ‘Photo Of The Month Winner’ status under their user-name for 1 month. A small feature on Air Scene UK Your photo will be added to the 'Hall of Fame' sticky Further prizes to be determined, donated by Squadron Prints A new 1Gb memory card, kindly donated by a member of the moderating team (format to be determined by the winner)
This month the competition will be open until 23.59 on 1 January 2009. Remember, post either a military aviation photograph taken this month, OR a military aviation photograph taken at any time, but with a festive theme
Good luck!
Steve

I've had a couple of PMs recently about the rules regarding the competition this month
To clarify, you can post EITHER
1. A photograph taken this month depicting whatever you like, as long as their is some military aviation connection
OR
2. A photograph taken at any time, but with a 'festive' theme, such as snow
They will all be judged together as one - as I'm sure you know, December is not usually a busy month, either for forums or photography visits, so we thought we would open it up to photographs taken at other times, but with the proviso they are 'festive' themed
Hope that clears it up
Steve
