Eurocopter's Panther has been quietly serving the French Navy for well over a decade with 36 Flotille, Tony Osborne reports for GAR on what the squadron has been up to in recent years, and what the future holds for the aircraft in this changing Air Arm.

Every year in the state of California, wildfires cause widespread destruction to forestry assets and property and cause multiple deaths. Aircraft make up part of the arsenal employed by the California Department of Fire and Forestry (CDF or CAL FIRE) to fight these wildfires, and one of the most important aircraft is based on a 1950s vintage anti-submarine warfare aircraft. Paul Dunn reports for GAR.
Duxford's American Air Day 2009
     
The American Air Day held at the Imperial War Museum, Duxford showcased the work of the United States Air Force in Europe and in particular the Third Air Force partially based in the UK. Glenn Beasley dropped in for GAR.
King's Cup Air Race
     
When you immediately think of air racing, chances are the first notion that will pop into your head will be pylon style - the sort given exposure in recent years by Red Bull - but that's far removed from the handicapped air racing organised and run by the Royal Aero Club - Records, Racing and Rally Association (known as the 3Rs). Karl Drage visited Sywell to witness first hand the 2009 King's Cup Air Race.
