Good afternoon all,
Over the last couple of weeks we've had some major updates so bare with me (huge post). But first of all apologies for the lack of news updates in July and early August, the reason for it being RIAT, U-2s, Articles, the database update and other things taking up all the time!
Onto the updates...
Forum- First, we have taken on a new Moderator - Ben Montgomery ('TheOriginalMonty') and will be the last addition to the team for a while.
- I'm sure most of you have seen but due to recent events we've had to refine the civil photography rule, you can view the thread explaining the new rule here.
- Lastly, Rich has been busy today carrying out a minor reshuffle of the forums, information on the reshuffle can be found here.
Website
I mentioned in the intro a database update; the FighterControl.co.uk website is now database driven, meaning you can filter our news and article/report content. Our Articles/Reports can be filtered by year and type (Airshow, Base, Overseas etc.) and our News content can be filtered by Month and Year. It also speeds up the process of adding the content, so we will be getting it to you quicker!.
Reports:
- Dawlish Carnival Airshow 2009
Dawlish Carnival Airshow is unique among the seaside shows, well known for securing displays and flypasts many larger shows are unable to get. However the main attraction of Dawlish for the enthusiast is the outstanding photo opportunities that it provides. Graham Cherry was there for Fighter Control to find out what makes this show so special.
News:
- 15.08.09 - Rama at the 'Hall
- 24.08.09 - Special NATO E-3 Graces Mildenhall
- 25.08.09 - Second Saudi Batch Departs Warton
If you have an article or news item you think we would like for the website, drop us an e-mail at: editor@fightercontrol.co.uk.
Subscribe to our RSS feed to get the latest updates as and when they happen.
Enjoy!, Mike
