If you ever get the chance, take a trip to Gigrin Farm, if your going to use a long lens I would recomend not going into the Hides, go to the top Field it looks down into the arena where they spread the meat out. Or go to the gate at the bottom of the field as thats where the Kites will almost fly into you. If your rich you can pay an extra fee to use the camera, or tower hide. You could see up to 400 Birds. The worse the weather conditions are the more Kites turn up, but you will also get Ravens, Rooks Crows and Buzzards. I have seen Kites at Harewood but they do not come as close as they do when they are at a feeding station. Well worth the visit. Added bonus from the top field stand with your back to the arena and look to your right, you get low fly aircraft going through into the valleys.
