Evening all , i am bit puzzled about Coningsby runway end numbers some mention 07 and 25 and others mention 08 an 26, when i was there in july i thought i heard 07 mentioned on the scanner, so i thought i would ask the Coningsby locals, thanks in advance

it used to be 8/26 but its now 07/25 due to the earths rotation i believe but also been told when they re did the runway a few years ago it was changed? Someone may know the truth

The earth is constantly moving in relation to the pole.
A lot of airfields have had their runways renumbered in the last few years.
