Hi, Does anyone know the current status of this Voodoo please.

It is/was at Kissimmee in Florida but was damaged in a hurricane a few years ago & the museum has now moved to Douglas in Georgia i see.

Like to think the old girl is being looked after,
Wouldent it look good at the Bentwaters Cold War Museum in full 81st TFW markings where it would be much loved !! but then i'm biased :-)

Cheers - Graham Gilbert,

Graham,
Bad news I'm afraid. The museum told me it had been scrapped due to corrosion.

Certainly do. They had a Voodoo cockpit as well. Think the cockpit went to the Coventry airport fire crews? A few years back now IIRC?

Wikipedia information -

McDonnell F-101B-80-MC Voodoo 60312 On loan from the USAF Museum

McDonnell F-101B-80-MC Voodoo 70270 On loan from the USAF Museum; nose, airfield fire crews rescue training aid (not viewable)

Don't know how up to date this is?

Thankyou Andy for that,

I'm surprised it was scrapped as that leaves only one F-101A model left (at Pueblo,CO) & only one F-101C at Sheppard AFB,TX of the pure fighter-bomber versions.

Two ex-81st TFW F-101's still survive in the States as RF-101H models (converted from
F-101C's) at Pima & with the Kentucky ANG.

Cheers - Graham

I took this pic of her at Kissimmee in 2000, not looking that great then.
